An Invitation to All Church Members to the Annual Church Conference
Monday, January 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
You are invited to a meeting of the Church Conference.  A  Church Conference is a meeting  with the District Superintendent presiding. This is required by the Discipline (book of doctrines and rules) of the UMC. All professing members----members who have been confirmed---have voice and vote.  This is the annual "check-in" meeting with the District Superintendent. Officers and members of all committees are elected. Compensations of all clergy are adopted. A report will be given as to the ways in which we respond to the needs of our neighborhoods. The work-in-progress recommendations of the Compass Committee will be presented. The 2011 annual budget will not be adopted at this meeting but rather at the meeting of the Church  Council on January 24 at 7pm.  Please let us know a week before each meeting of your need for Child Care.by e mailing Lauren Price, lauren@tarrytownumc.org
